The Role:

Reporting to the Host City Director, the Host City Manager will play a key role in supporting the planning, management, and delivery of Formula E events in various host cities, contributing to the successful execution of the Championship calendar, fostering strong relationships with local stakeholders, to enhance the success and strategic growth of Formula E events.

The Host City Manager will support project coordination across internal departments, the development of necessary documentation, and support initiatives to maximise the value and impact of Formula E’s presence in host cities.

• Race event business strategist: Support with building business cases for potential and existing host city venues and help define roles and responsibilities at initial stages.
• Event planning and prioritisation: Support Host City Directors to shape the planning process of the Formula E calendar, ensuring it reflects strategic objectives.
• Project management support: Provide high-level support structuring project plans, establishing project governance, and implementing reporting mechanisms for successful event delivery.
• Cultivating internal and external relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders (which includes local teams, authorities, venues, and businesses) as well as building upon internal relationships within our departments.
• Strategic race visionary: Work with Host City Directors to develop strategic objectives for year-on-year P&L optimisation by contributing to business case reports and identify opportunities to improve event efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the local market.

What we're looking for in you:

• Driver of business development: Experience in business development or commercial partnerships within a sports or events context and an appreciation for the commercial aspects of event management are highly desirable.
• Insights Champion: Good understanding of basic data analysis, reporting, and budgeting principles with the ability to analyse and clearly present the information.
• Project Coordination: Experience in project coordination, preferably within a fast-paced environment, working with multiple stakeholders is beneficial.
• Organisational Excellence: Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage tasks effectively within timelines.
• Communication & collaborative acumen: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and build effective working relationships.
