The Role:
Are you a data-driven strategist with a passion for uncovering the "why" behind commercial success? We are looking for a sharp, analytical and commercially-minded individual to join our Business Intelligence team as a Commercial Insights Manager.
In this role, you will be the bridge between complex data and actionable business strategy. You will play a pivotal part in demonstrating the immense value of Formula E’s global partnerships, translating diverse datasets into compelling narratives that resonate with world-class brands. If you have a knack for storytelling through numbers and the drive to innovate how we measure ROI in the fast-evolving sports media landscape, we want to hear from you. This position is based at the Formula E HQ in London and reports to the Senior Commercial Insights Manager.
Strategic Data Management & Analysis: As a core member of the Business Intelligence team, you will oversee the end-to-end data lifecycle, from supervising the collection and cleaning of diverse datasets to ensuring absolute accuracy. You won't just move data; you will interrogate it, identifying the key trends and insights that define the performance and impact of our commercial partnerships.
Partner Reporting & Storytelling: You will be instrumental in crafting the narrative of our success. By assisting with mid-season, end-of-season and specific campaign reports, you will translate technical findings into clear, high-impact presentations for our partners. Your ability to turn spreadsheets into "commercial gold" will help maintain and grow our most valued professional relationships.
Sales Support & Innovation: You will act as the research engine for our growth. By delivering the evidence and case studies required to validate our commercial propositions, you will provide the Sales team with the ammunition they need to win new business. Furthermore, you will be a champion for measurement innovation, constantly exploring new tools and methodologies to better calculate the effectiveness of our global platform.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will work at the heart of the organisation, collaborating closely with the Partnerships teams to ensure our insights remain aligned with partner objectives. You will also manage external research agencies and data suppliers, ensuring they deliver high-quality, timely outputs that meet Formula E’s exacting standards.
What we're looking for in you:
The Analytical Storyteller: You have a proven track record in an insights-focused role, ideally within a sports rights-holder or a specialised research agency. You don't just see numbers; you see the story they tell. You are highly proficient in the Google Suite (Sheets and Slides) and have the ability to present complex data in a way that is easily digestible for non-technical stakeholders.
The Commercial Strategist: You possess a deep understanding of the sports business landscape and the broader media and entertainment sectors. You understand what brands want to achieve through sponsorship and have the numerical skills to prove we are delivering that value. Experience with data visualisation tools is a significant plus.
The Collaborative Professional: You are a strong communicator who can build seamless relationships across different departments and with external suppliers. You are proactive, detail-oriented and thrive in a collaborative environment where research and insights must be translated into meaningful business actions.

This is a hybrid role and you'll be required to do 3 days a week in our Hammersmith London office
