The Role:
Are you a commercially-minded retail expert with a passion for global sports and the strategic vision to scale a world-class merchandising footprint? We are looking for a Retail & E-Commerce Manager to manage Formula E’s global retail programme during an era of accelerating fan growth.
This is a high-complexity, "builder" role operating within a rapidly developing retail environment. Reporting to and working with the Brand Licensing & Retail Director, you will serve as the operational and commercial retail bridge between our bold brand and our diverse global audience, delivering to a growth budget with ownership of strategy and innovative retail initiatives.
Strategic Agency Leadership: You will be the primary conductor for our two key external powerhouses: a dedicated at-race retail agency for our global E-Prix events and a specialist e-commerce agency for our digital retail footprint. You’ll hold them accountable to KPIs, sustainability standards and continuous performance optimisation.
Global Race Retail & Logistics: You will take full ownership of the physical retail footprint at every E-Prix. This involves overseeing "Fan Store" structures and inventory while navigating the intricate complexities of international customs, local logistics and premium fan experience delivery across diverse global markets.
Creative-Commercial Collaboration: Working at the intersection of style and data, you will collaborate with retail agencies and the Brand & Creative Director to develop on-trend, brand-aligned collections. You’ll use data-led insights to forecast demand in "niche" markets and coordinate high-stakes co-branded merchandise drops with our world-renowned Racing Teams and Official Partners.
Digital & B2B Excellence: You will lead our end-to-end digital retail strategy, ensuring seamless omni-channel campaigns and impactful product launches with our e-commerce retail agency. Simultaneously, you will act as the lead for our specialist production agency to source bespoke, high-quality "premiums" and corporate gifting for our Teams & Manufacturers, ensuring every item meets our high-performance brand standards.
Ecosystem collaboration: Act as the key retail liaison for Racing Teams and Sponsors (Teams & Partners) to align Formula E retail activities with their activation rights/plans. You will also oversee the development of co-branded merchandise with our Teams and coordinate with Team merchandise suppliers to integrate Official Team Products into both e-commerce and at-race retail environments.
What we're looking for in you:
The Commercial Strategist: You have a proven track record of managing high-complexity retail operations, ideally within sports, entertainment or global events. You don't just "manage" a shop; you understand how to use sales data and fan insights to drive growth and adjust range planning in real-time.
The Agency Conductor: You are an expert at managing third-party relationships. You know how to balance creative collaboration with commercial discipline, ensuring agencies deliver on-brand products while hitting strict "growth budget" targets and operational service levels.
The Agile Problem Solver: You thrive in the fast-paced, "hands-on" environment of international events. Whether you are navigating complex customs documentation for a race in a new territory or overseeing a technical e-commerce transition, you bring a proactive, solution-oriented mindset to the table.
The Collaborative Liaison: You are a skilled communicator who can influence internal teams, from Finance and Legal to Marketing and Ops, while maintaining "gold-standard" relationships with external Racing Teams and corporate partners.
Please note, this position involves a background check via our integrated platform, Veremark, as a standard requirement of the role.

This is a hybrid role and you'll be required to do 3 days a week in our Hammersmith London office
