The Role:
Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance and a desire to support a global, fast-paced team? We are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to manage day-to-day financial operations ranging from data entry and record-keeping to complex multi-currency reconciliations.
In this role, you will be the engine room of our finance department, providing critical support across both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. You will navigate the intricacies of international banking, tax data preparation and month-end closing processes, ensuring our financial records are precise and compliant across multiple global markets.
Comprehensive Transaction Management: You will be a key player in the payment lifecycle. This includes inputting new supplier details and posting invoices for Accounts Payable, as well as preparing quotes and updating Smartsheet for our Accounts Receivable team to ensure we are paid on time.
Global Banking & Daily Allocations: You will take charge of daily payment allocations, uploading banking data as a priority from multi-currency banks across various countries. You will follow up on outstanding items and assist with weekly and monthly standard payment runs to keep our cash flow moving.
Compliance & Month-End Excellence: You will manage credit card journals (PLEO), ensuring all receipts are checked and non-compliance is flagged before month-end closing. Your role is also vital to our annual compliance, assisting with PSA tax calculations and the submission of national statistics surveys.
Ad Hoc Financial Fixer: You are the go-to support for our international local accounts, from Berlin to Brazil, adding reconciliation data, agreeing on cash balances with local teams and assisting with audit queries. Whether it is posting lease journals or managing prepayments, you ensure the Finance Department remains agile and organised.
What we're looking for in you:
The Precision Specialist: Attention to detail is not just a skill for you, it’s a must. You have previous experience in a finance/accounting team or possess solid basic accounting knowledge that allows you to manage data entry and record keeping without error.
The Excel-Savvy Collaborator: You bring good Excel skills to the table and possess the verbal and written communication skills necessary to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
The Agile Team Player: You are a quick learner with the ability to work unsupervised while remaining a dedicated team player. You thrive when meeting deadlines and can handle multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
The Multilingual Global Thinker: While not required, an understanding of VAT and experience with enterprise systems like Workday or SAP will set you apart. Fluency in other languages is a significant plus as we navigate our global account requirements.
Please note, this position involves a background check via our integrated platform, Veremark, as a standard requirement of the role.
