The Role:
Are you a logistics maestro with the precision to move a world-class championship across the globe? We are looking for a Paddock & Logistics Manager to serve as the vital operational heartbeat between Formula E, its elite race teams and our global logistics partners.
This is a high-stakes, "boots-on-the-ground" role situated at the intersection of international freight and live event execution. Reporting to the Senior Paddock and Logistics Manager, you will be the primary link ensuring that every piece of event-critical equipment, from high-voltage batteries to team garages, reaches the track and is deployed with seamless efficiency.
Strategic Event Planning & Execution: You are the architect of the move. You will assist in the end-to-end logistics planning for each global fixture, managing the complex journey of approximately 30 high-priority trucks from airport to venue and back again, ensuring not a second is lost in transition.
Technical Compliance & Dangerous Goods: You are the championship’s technical safeguard. As a key advisor on Dangerous Goods, you will oversee the movement of sensitive freight, managing ATA Carnets, packing invoices and "Known Consignor" protocols to navigate international borders and customs without friction.
On-Site Operational Leadership: You take command of the paddock floor. From attending daily site meetings to coordinating with Track and Overlay teams on delivery routes and venue access, you ensure the "mobile city" is built to spec. You aren’t afraid to lead from the front, providing forklift assistance and managing personnel rotas to keep operations running 24/7.
Stakeholder & Partner Integration: You are the central point of contact for a diverse ecosystem. You will liaise daily with DHL, race teams and commercial partners to coordinate pick-up/pack-up schedules and manage "Late Freight" requirements, ensuring every stakeholder is aligned with the championship’s rigorous timelines.
Continuous Process Optimisation: Beyond the race weekend, you are a builder of systems. You will assist in refining championship-wide logistics standards, helping to evolve our freight movements into a more efficient, sustainable and high-performance operation.
What we're looking for in you:
The Freight Specialist: You possess deep knowledge of worldwide freight logistics and international customs. You understand the nuances of ATA Carnets and H&S standards and you have the technical grounding to act as a definitive voice on Dangerous Goods and secure supply chain protocols.
The High-Pressure Problem Solver: You thrive when the countdown is on. Whether you’re navigating a last-minute freight delay or managing a complex onsite machinery operation with DHL, you remain calm under pressure, bringing lateral thinking and a proactive energy to every logistical bottleneck.
The Collaborative Coordinator: You are a skilled communicator who can bridge the gap between technical race teams and local venue staff. You know how to manage expectations and hold partners to "gold-standard" delivery schedules while working closely with others in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The Global Voyager: You are a seasoned traveler ready to take this show on the road. With a clean driving license and a willingness to work long hours unsupervised away from home, you are comfortable operating across diverse cultures and time zones to ensure the paddock is ready for lights-out.
