The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Motorsport Communications Manager to join Formula E and lead all sporting communications across the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. Prior experience operating within top-tier international motorsport is essential for this role.
In this highly influential leadership role, you will report to the Content & Communications Director, serving as the strategic partner to the FIA, teams, drivers, Formula E Sporting and race operations to protect and enhance Formula E’s reputation around the world. You will:
Own the Motorsport Communications Strategy: You shape and execute the global motorsport communications strategy, aligning sporting credibility, competitive positioning and brand storytelling with long-term commercial goals.

Drive Global Media, Team Collaboration & Narrative Building: Act as a central bridge between Formula E and the teams, balancing relationship management with deep, collaborative story mining. Working hand-in-hand with internal FE teams and Formula E Account Managers, you will uncover rich, authentic narratives and strategically plan long-term communications. You will land these consistent, season-long storylines across key motorsport titles and mainstream media, while elevating driver profiles, building fame beyond the track, and driving momentum around GEN4.
Manage High-Performing Teammates: You coach and develop the Motorsport Comms Manager who will report directly to you, and establish high editorial standards across all motorsport press releases and briefing assets.
What we're looking for in you:
Essential Motorsport Background: Mandatory, extensive experience operating within an international or top-tier motorsport championship (team-side, series-side, or governing body). You possess an established network across global motorsport media, an intimate understanding of race-weekend dynamics, and the credibility to engage immediately with senior paddock stakeholders.
The Motorsport Comms Leader: You bring extensive senior communications experience in international motorsport or elite sport supported by an established international media network and a thorough understanding of the motorsport media landscape.
Lead Incident & Crisis Management: Rapidly assess, manage, and mitigate motorsport crisis situations—including major trackside incidents, regulatory infringements, and technical controversies. You will provide strategic counsel to executive leadership, alongside the Senior Corporate Communications Manager and partner with the FIA to deliver clear, credible, and controlled media messaging under extreme time pressure.
The Outstanding Editor & Storyteller: You hold journalist-level editorial standards and have a track record of developing integrated, high-impact press releases, Q&As and media guides that drive measurable global coverage.
The Resilient Global Team Player: You are a calm, decisive member of the team who thrives on international race-weekend travel (at least attending half of the races each season) and cross-functional collaboration across diverse global time zones.
